Description: On the 5th of November, Saturday, the students of class six visited the Mother House. Located on AJC Bose Road, just opposite St. James School, Mother House was the house of Saint Teresa. We left school at around 8:20 am. We filed in the corridor and soon left. We got up in the cars provided by some of the girls. Meanwhile outside, it was raining heavily which caused us much trouble. We soon reached Mother House – the Saintly Abode. We then entered through the gate, our heads covered with umbrellas. At first, we went to the prayer hall, where we all prayed in front of Mother Teresa’s tomb. Then, we went to the museum, which was filled with items used by her. The different phases of her life are displayed on the walls. Then we all saw her room, which had no luxurious items to comfort her. At last, when we were leaving, the sisters gave us mementos, such as bookmarks and lockets. This was a beautiful experience and an unforgettable one. This trip will remain in our hearts forever. By- Teesta Ray Class 6 Section - I
